І. ЗАГАЛЬНІ ПОЛОЖЕННЯ

1.1. Міжнародний симпозіум надпарканної скульптури в Опішному (далі в тексті – Симпозіум) – поліфункціональна художня акція, спрямована на пожвавлення процесів розвитку сучасного мистецтва кераміки.

1.2. Симпозіум проводиться в рамках ДЕСЯТОГО Тижня Національного Гончарного Здвиження в Опішному «Здвиг-2018».

1.3. Метою Симпозіуму є творче спілкування мистців різних художніх напрямків і шкіл України й чужоземних країн, виготовлення високомистецьких творів кераміки.

1.4. Основними завданнями Симпозіуму є:

  • розвиток традицій гончарства, кераміки;
  • зростання професійної майстерності мистців;
  • обмін досвідом роботи мистців різних художніх напрямків, шкіл;
  • вивчення сучасного стану й загальних тенденцій розвитку української й чужоземної кераміки;
  • обговорення актуальних проблем теорії й практики сучасної української й світової кераміки;
  • популяризація мистецтва кераміки, формування естетичних смаків населення, сприяння різноманітному використанню кераміки в побуті сучасників;
  • інтеграція досягнень української кераміки й світової гончарної спадщини;
  • формування колекцій Національного музею-заповідника українського гончарства в Опішному.

1.5. Мета й основні завдання Симпозіуму реалізовуються через спільну роботу українських і чужоземних мистців-керамістів, проведення творчих вечорів, презентацій персональних мистецьких проектів, перегляд відеофільмів, улаштування персональних виставок тощо.

Відкриття Симпозіуму й початок творчої роботи:

11 червня 2018 року, об 11.00 год., на території Науково-дослідницького центру
Національного музею-заповідника українського гончарства в Опішному (вул. Партизанська, 102).
Церемонія оголошення результатів, нагородження переможців і закриття Симпозіуму – 01 липня 2018 року

Учасники також візьмуть участь у заходах:

II. УМОВИ УЧАСТІ

2.1. До участі в Симпозіумі запрошуються мистці-керамісти, скульптори України й чужоземних країн. Загальна кількість Учасників – до 12 осіб.

2.2. Мистці виготовляють твори для встановлення їх на бетонній огорожі Музею-заповідника (Музею мистецької родини Кричевських). На згадку про перебування в Опішному Учасники також виготовляють дзвіночок та Іменне панно.

2.3. Для участі в Симпозіумі необхідно до 20.04.2018 року подати Дирекції Національного музею-заповідника українського гончарства в Опішному (далі в тексті – Дирекція) заповнену заявку й проект творчої роботи (у паперовому або електронному вигляді). Подання заявки ще не означає, що її автора допущено до участі в Симпозіумі, а лише свідчить про його наміри.

2.4. Мистцям необхідно також подати: 3 кольорові фотографії (10x15 см) або фото в електронному вигляді творів, які найповніше відображають особливості їхньої творчості, власне фото, а також матеріали, які більш детально характеризують мистецькі досягнення (каталоги виставок, фото творів, відеофільми, відзнаки творчості, оригінали чи ксерокопії публікацій про автора в книгах і періодиці тощо). Матеріали, зазначені в п.п. 2.3 і 2.4, є вирішальними у виборі претендентів на участь у Симпозіумі. Інформаційні матеріали не повертаються, а передаються на постійне зберігання в Національний архів українського гончарства. При цьому мистцям слід окремо зазначити, яка інформація з надісланих ними на адресу Дирекції матеріалів не підлягає публічному розголошенню й опублікуванню в пресі, каталозі тощо.

2.6. Заявки на участь у Симпозіумі, подані пізніше зазначеного терміну, не розглядаються.

2.7. Подані на участь у Симпозіумі заявки розглядаються Радою експертів, яку формує й затверджує Дирекція. Персональний склад її не розголошується. СИМПОЗІУМ НАДПАРКАННОЇ СКУЛЬПТУРИ • SYMPOSIUM OF THE ABOVE-FENCE SCULPTURE Рада експертів до 25.04.2018 року визначає персональний склад Учасників Симпозіуму, який затверджує Дирекція. Засідання Ради експертів є закритим; рішення приймається відкритим голосуванням. Рішення Ради експертів є остаточним і перегляду не підлягає.

2.8. На основі рішення Ради експертів Дирекція до 30.04.2018 року надсилає мистцям персональні офіційні запрошення до участі в Симпозіумі.

2.9. Мистці представляють під час Симпозіуму власний мистецький проект. Про відповідні наміри й необхідну допомогу вони повинні сповістити Дирекцію до 20.04.2018 року.

2.10. Після прибуття до Опішного Учасник має пред’явити Дирекції оригінал запрошення. Без офіційного запрошення Дирекції мистці до участі в Симпозіумі не допускаються.

2.11. Учасник Симпозіуму має надати Дирекції, разом із заявкою, письмову згоду на обробку його персональних даних, у тому числі фотопортретів, фото під час Симпозіуму та фото творів, їх використання в друкованих і електронних виданнях, на веб-сайтах і у відеосюжетах Національного музею-заповідника українського гончарства в Опішному та Інституту керамології – відділення Інституту народознавства НАН України. Дирекція гарантує захист наданих Учасником персональних даних від передачі їх третім особам, за винятком випадків їх публічної доступності через друковані й електронні видання, веб-сайти, відеосюжети тощо. Без отримання такої згоди участь у Симпозіумі неможлива!

III. ВЗАЄМНІ ЗОБОВ’ЯЗАННЯ

3.1. Дирекція укладає з кожним Учасником Симпозіуму контракт, у якому передбачаються взаємні зобов’язання на період 11 червня – 02 липня 2018 року.

3.2. Умови роботи.

Дирекція забезпечує Учасника безкоштовно:

  • робочими місцями в тимчасових творчих майстернях;
  • сировиною й матеріалами (глина, шамотна маса, шамот, гіпс, ангоби, поливи, окисли металів, тканина, поліетиленова плівка, тощо);
  • інструментами (стеки, пензлі, гумові груші, ножики тощо);
  • обладнанням (гончарні круги, турнетки, компресор тощо);
  • випалювальними печами (горно для випалювання дровами, муфельна піч);
  • допомогою обслуговуючого персоналу під час випалювання творів;
  • послугами реставратора кераміки, технолога.

Дирекція забезпечує Учасника безкоштовно зазначеними вище сировиною, матеріалами, інструментами й обладнанням у обсязі заздалегідь поданої ним заявки. Потреби Учасників, не передбачені попередніми заявками, задовольняються за можливості.
Творча робота відбувається в спеціально обладнаних індивідуальних наметах просто неба.

3.3. Харчування.
Дирекція забезпечує Учасника безкоштовним триразовим харчуванням.

3.4. Побут.
Дирекція забезпечує Учасника безкоштовним проживанням у спальних кімнатах приватного готелю «Надія» або в приватному секторі. Дирекція не забезпечує житлом членів родин Учасників (дружина, чоловік, діти тощо), їхніх друзів і знайомих. За необхідності, вони можуть знайти добротне, комфортне тимчасове помешкання в приватному секторі.

3.5. Медичне обслуговування.
Дирекція забезпечує Учасникам екстрену безкоштовну медичну допомогу в місцевій лікарні. Учасники, які мають проблеми зі здоров’ям, зокрема хронічні хвороби, фізичні вади тощо, повинні заздалегідь потурбуватися про забезпечення свого комфортного самопочуття за власні кошти. Усі Учасники до початку Симпозіуму мають пред’явити Дирекції затверджену в установленому порядку довідку медичного закладу про стан здоров’я та відсутність інфекційних хвороб.

3.6. Комунікаційне забезпечення.
Дирекція забезпечує Учасників телефонним зв’язком, доступом до Інтернету. Дирекція забезпечує чужоземних Учасників безкоштовно перекладачами (англійська мова).

3.8. Інформаційне забезпечення.
Дирекція забезпечує Учасників безкоштовним доступом до бібліотечних, речових, архівних і аудіовізуальних ресурсів Музею-заповідника.

3.9. Транспортування.
Проїзд Учасників до місця проведення Симпозіуму – за власний кошт.

3.10. Дирекція також зобов’язується:

  • створити документальний відеофільм про Симпозіум;
  • популяризувати творчість Учасника в пресі, на радіо й телебаченні;
  • організувати підсумкову виставку творів Учасників;
  • забезпечити роботу Журі;
  • організувати цікаве й змістовне дозвілля.

3.10. Учасник Симпозіуму зобов’язується:

  • виготовити монументальну скульптуру (не менше 200х150 см);
  • дзвіночок (не менше 10х20 см);
  • на згадку про перебування в Опішному – іменне панно (50х50 см);
  • випалити зазначені вище твори;
  • виготовлені твори безкоштовно передати Національному музею-заповіднику українського гончарства в Опішному для постійного зберігання й експонування.

IV. ВИЗНАЧЕННЯ ПЕРЕМОЖЦІВ

4.1. Твори оцінює Журі Симпозіуму надпарканної скульптури. До його складу входять провідні мистці керамісти, керамологи, мистецькі критики, мистецтвознавці.
День роботи Журі – 01 липня 2018 року.
Рішення Журі є остаточним і перегляду не підлягає.

4.2. Журі присуджує такі нагороди:

І. COMMON REGULATIONS

1.1. International Symposium of the Above-Fence Sculpture in Opishne (hereinafter the Symposium) is a polyfunctional art action, aimed at the revival of the processes of the development of modern pottery art.

1.2. The Symposium is carried out within the bounds of the 10th Week of the National Pottery Shifting The 2018 Shift in Opishne.

1.3. The main purpose of the Symposium is to provide the creative intercourse among craftsmen representing different art trends and schools of Ukraine and foreign countries, the production of highly artistic pottery works.

1.4. The main tasks of the Symposium are:

  • to develop pottery traditions;
  • to grow craftsmanship;
  • to exchange work experience among the craftsmen of different art trends and schools;
  • to study the current state and the general trends of the development of Ukrainian and foreign ceramics;
  • to discuss the issues of current importance regarding the theory and the practice of the modern Ukrainian and world ceramics;
  • to popularize pottery art, form the aesthetic tastes of people, procure the various usage of pottery in the everyday life of contemporaries.
  • to integrate the achievements of Ukrainian ceramics with the world pottery heritage;
  • to form the collections of the National Museum of Ukrainian Pottery
    in Opishne.

1.5. The purpose and main tasks of the Symposium will be realized through the common work of Ukrainian and foreign pottery craftsmen, the carrying out of different art evenings, disputations, presentations of personal art projects, viewings of the videofilms, the organization of personal exhibitions and so on.

1.6. The National Museum of Ukrainian Pottery in Opishne was indicated as the location of the Symposium. [102 Partyzanska Street, Opishne, Poltava Region, 38164, Ukraine; phone: +38 (05353) 42415, 42416, 42417; fax: +38 (05353) 42416, 42175].

1.7. June 11 – July 02, 2018 was indicated as the date of the Symposium.

The date of the arrival of the Participants is June 10, 2018
The date of the departure of the Participants is July 02, 2018
The Symposium will be opened and the creative work begins
on June 11, 2018, at 11 a.m.,
in the territory of the Scientific Research Centre of the National Museum of Ukrainian Pottery in Opishne (102 Partyzanska Street).
The ceremony of the declaration of the results, the award presentation of the winners,
and the solemn closing of the Symposium would be held on July 01, 2018

The Participants could also take part in the events of:

  • the 8th National Smithery Festival VakulaFest-ХХІ (25-30.06 .2018)
  • the 10th International Artistic Festival and Fair PotteryUniverseUkraine-2018 (29.06 – 01.07.2018)
  • the 8th National Competitive Festival of Pottery Bodypainting («BodyCeramicFestUkraine») (30.06.2018)
  • the 7th National Pottery Festival (30.06.2018)

II. THE CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

2.1. The potters and sculptors from Ukraine and foreign countries are invited to take part in the Symposium. The total amount of the Participants is up to 12 persons.

2.2. The craftsmen produce works for fixing them on the concrete fence of the Museum of Pottery (the Museum of the Artistic Krychevsky Family) The Participants produce a small bell and a Nominal Panel in the commemoration of his sojourn in Opishne as well.

2.3. The filled request and the draft of a creative work (in a paper form or a digital one) should be sent till May 20, 2018, to the Management of the National Museum of Ukrainian Pottery in Opishne (hereinafter the Management) to take part in the Symposium. The sending of a request cannot mean the participation of the author in the Symposium; it can only be regarded as the evidence of his intentions.

2.4. The craftsmen will be also asked to give: three colour photos (10 cm х 15 cm) or digital photos of their works, that represent the peculiarities of their creative activity in full, their own photos as well as materials, characterizing their art achievements (exhibition catalogues, the photos of their works, video films, art awards, original or copied published works on the author in books or periodicals etc.). These materials, mentioned in the paragraphs 2.3 і 2.4, are decisive in the selections of the pretenders to take part in the Symposium. The information materials will be not given back; they will be accepted in permanent deposit in the National Archives of Ukrainian Pottery. Craftsmen should note what information from the materials, sent by them to the address of the Management, cannot be divulged and published in press, catalogues and so on.

2.6. The requests for the participation in the Symposium, sent after the dead-line, will be not considered.

2.7. The requests for the participation in the Symposium will be considered by the Expert Council, formed and confirmed by the Management. Its staff is not divulged. The Expert Council determines the personnel of the Participants of the Symposium till May 25, 2018. The Management confirms it. The meeting of the Expert Council is closed; decisions are reached with open vote. The decision of the Expert Council is final and cannot be a subject of appeal.

2.8. The Management sends personal official invitations to take part in the Symposium out to craftsmen on the basis of the decision of the Expert Council till May 30, 2018.

2.9. Craftsmen could present during the Symposium their own art project. They should inform the Management about their respective expectancies and necessary help till April 20, 2018.

2.10. After his arrival to Opishne every Participant will be asked to show an original invitation to the Management. Craftsmen cannot participate in the Symposium without an official invitation from the Management..

2.11. The Participant of the Symposium should give to the Management, together with the application, his written acceptance of the processing of personal records, including portrait photographies, photos during the Symposium, the photos of works, their usage in printed and digital publications, in websites, and in video films of the National Museum of Ukrainian Pottery in Opishne and the Ceramology Institute – the branch of the Ethnology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The Management secures personal records, given by the Participant from the transfer of them to the third party, with the exception of the cases of their open access through printed and digital publications, websites, video films and so on. The participation in the Symposium is impossible without the receiving of such consent!

III. MUTUAL OBLIGATIONS

3.1. The Management contracts for mutual obligations with every Participant of the Symposium during June 11 – July 02, 2018.

3.2. The Conditions of Work.
The Management provides a Participant free gratis for:

  • workplaces in temporary creative workshops;
  • raw stuff and materials (clay, chamotte mass, chamotte, gypsum, engobes, glazes, metal oxides, cloth, polyethylene film etc.)
  • instruments (sticks, brushes, rubber syringes, knifes etc.)
  • equipment (pottery wheels, tournettes, compressor etc.)
  • kilns and muffle furnaces
  • maintenance staff’s help during firing
  • the services of pottery restorers, technologist, and laboratory assistant.

The Management provides a Participant free gratis for the above-mentioned raw stuff, materials, instruments and equipment in compliance with his request, given beforehand. The requirements of the Participants, not provided in advance requests, would be satisfied if an opportunity offers. Creative work will take place in specially equipped individual tents out-of-doors.

3.3. Board.
The Management provides a Participant for free three meals a day.

3.4. Life.
The Management provides a Participant for free accommodation in the bedrooms of a private Nadiya hotel or in the village. There are separate toilet facilities, shower cubicles, household rooms. The Management does not provide the members of the Participants’ families (wife, husband, children etc.), their friends for accommodation. If they need, they could find suitable and comfortable temporary lodgings in the village.

3.5. Medical Care.
The Management provides a Participant for emergency free medical aid in the local hospital. The Participants who has health problems, especially chronic ailments, corporal defects and so on, should be rather worried about their comfortable state of health in good time at their own expense. All the Participants should show a certificate on their state of health and the absence of infectious diseases, approved in accordance with established procedure and given by a medical institution, to the Medical service of the Management before the Symposium begins.

3.6. Communication Providing.
The Management provides the Participants for telephony, facsimile machine, copier, television set with space television, e-mail and Internet access. Interpretation (into English) will be provided free of charge for all foreign Participants.

3.7. Information Providing.
The Management provides the Participants free access to the substantial library, material, archival and audiovisual resources of the Museum.

3.8. Passage.
Transportation to the place of carrying out of the Symposium will be conducted for account of the Participants.

3.9. The Management is also engaged:

  • to create a documentary video film on the Symposium;
  • to popularize the creative work of the Participant in press, on radio and television;
  • to organize the final exhibition of the Participants’ works;
  • to provide the work of the Jury;
  • to organize an interesting and recreational activities.

3.10. The Participant of the Symposium is engaged:

  • to produce a monumental sculpture (no less than 200 cm х 150 cm);
  • small bell (no less than 10 cm х 20 cm);
  • the Nominal Panel (50 cm x 50 cm) in the commemoration of his sojourn in Opishne;
  • to burn the above-mentioned works;
  • to deliver gratis the works, produced by him to the National Museum
  • of Ukrainian Pottery in Opishne for permanent storage.

IV. THE DETERMINATION OF WINNERS

4.1. The works will be estimated by the Jury of the Symposium of the Above-Fence Sculpture. The leading art potters, ceramologists, art critics are its members.
The Jury works on July 01, 2018.
The decision of the Jury is final and cannot be a subject of appeal.

4.2. The Jury gives the following awards:
